Mastering Research Data: Building Skills for Responsible and Reproducible Research
As part of the VISION Project, a 1.5-day online training course, “Mastering Research Data,” brought together participants to explore key principles and practices for managing research data effectively throughout the research lifecycle.
The training addressed essential aspects of research data management, including data management planning, documentation, organisation, sharing and the use of real-life case studies. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, participants explored approaches and best practices that can support responsible, well-documented and reproducible research.
The sessions provided an opportunity to examine the challenges researchers may encounter when managing data and to consider practical strategies for improving data organisation, documentation and sharing practices. By connecting theoretical concepts with real-world examples, the training aimed to equip participants with knowledge that can be applied directly to their own research activities.
The VISION team warmly thanks the speakers from Institut Pasteur for sharing their expertise and experience throughout the course:
Marc Monot, Fanny Sebire, Sean Kennedy, Mathilde Dusseaux, Lisa Amar, and Francina Langa Vives.
Their presentations, practical examples and contributions to the discussions provided participants with diverse perspectives on research data management and its role in high-quality research.
Through activities such as “Mastering Research Data,” VISION continues to promote the development of research skills and responsible data practices, contributing to a stronger culture of open, transparent and reproducible research.
