Immunogenicity Testing: Exploring Key Assays and Methodologies
As part of the VISION Project’s training programme, an online session on Immunogenicity Testing provided participants with an opportunity to explore key concepts and methodologies used to evaluate immune responses and assess the biological effects of different products.
The 2.5-hour training combined an overview of general aspects of animal testing with more in-depth presentations on immunogenicity and cytotoxicity assays. These topics introduced participants to important considerations in the assessment of immune responses and cell viability, highlighting their relevance to biological research and the development of vaccines and other biological products.
The session was delivered by Veljko Blagojevic, Marko Vasić and Ivana Andelović, from the Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera “Torlak”. Their presentations provided participants with insights into the principles and applications of these testing approaches.
By addressing both general concepts and specific laboratory assays, the training contributed to strengthening participants’ understanding of methodologies relevant to immunogenicity assessment and preclinical research.
