VISION is a collaborative research project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the Institut Pasteur of Tunis, which focuses on translating data into life-changing biological products for the benefit of local populations. The project aims to bridge the gap between academic and non-academic sectors across widening (WICs) and non-widening countries, enabling the scientific community to leverage the full potential of research data in the development of biologics and mRNA vaccines.

OUR MISSION

At VISION, we are committed to empowering the research and innovation (R&I) environments in WICs by helping them wisely identify, analyze, and apply the huge potential of scientific data. Through this initiative, we aim to foster the development of innovative bioproducts and vaccines, driving progress in regional and global health

OUR GOALS

  • Bridging Practices & Resources: By connecting academic and non-academic practices, skills, and resources, we strengthen the capacity of WICs to innovate and conduct cutting-edge research.
  • Innovative Vaccine Development: With a focus on mRNA technology, VISION works towards advancing biologics and vaccine development, which will allow WICs to keep up with the rapidly evolving field of vaccinology.
  • Regional Positioning: Our efforts support the growth of local and regional capacities, ensuring that WICs are wellpositioned to lead in the fields of R&D, biotechnologies, and innovative healthcare solutions.
  • Open Innovation: VISION actively contributes to the regional innovation landscape by creating platforms for collaboration between academia, industry, government, and civil society.
